Sluice is a kind of low head hydraulic structure built on the river and channel using gate that control flow and water level.When the sluice are closing,sluice chamber will bear horizontal thrust generated by hydraulic gradient between upper and lower reaches,making it possible for the sluice chamber to downstream sliding;meaningwhile,in the affect of hydraulic gradient between upper and lower reaches,water will permeate the sluice foundation or the connected buildings on both sides of the sluice from upstream to downstream.then,the seepage pressure comes into being,especially for the sluice built on the soil base,it could generate seepage deformation,endanger the safety engineering due to the bad permeability of soil stability.With the rapid development of hydraulic engineering,the construction of the sluice is increasing,so the design and calculation of sluices on the analysis of seepage and stress deformation,is particularly important.In this paper,combined with the QUCUN flood diversion sluice gate,Taking the single-hole sluice chamber section as research objects.We establish a 3 d finite element model.to conduct the seepage analysis and stress deformation simulation using the software.ADINA.the results is similar to the resulta of classical mechanics.We perform numerical simulations of QUCUN flood diversion sluice gate in the different working conditions –the check water level,the design water level and the flood water level.through the analysis of seepage and stress deformation of various conditions on the gate,this paper draws a conclusionthat the seepage stability meet specifications.,the deformation and stress are within the sphere permitted by echnical specification.in order to reduce the displacement in the direction along flow,guaranting the gate can normally opening and closing,we adopt the forthis of impervious blanketin the upstream and the cast-in-place concrete foundation.Through the numerical simulation of the sluice of different working conditions,Seepage flow and stress-strain of the sluice Presents different egularly.we Determine the final solution of impervious blanketin the upstream and the cast-in-place concrete foundation which not only enables the sluice seepage stability on the conditions of deep overburden also makes the stress and strain of the sluice meet the requirements,it embodies a safe and reliable design concept in the contemporary engineering.
