| Nowadays,on the background of the strategy of invigorating China through the development of science and education,the development of education has been list as on of the most priority goal of national development.University education as an important part of education,it is not only the foundation of the international competition,it is also the basic of the social progress and development.University campus,as the main places to cultivate young generations,not only the place for professional study,and also create the comfortable academic and communication environments.The place spirit of the campus planning and architecture design is the key for achieving these comfortable environments.Students are more interested in academic communications when they satisfied with the campus environment.The main body of this paper is divided into three parts:First,this paper takes Xiangtan Normal College as an example,adopts research methods of environmental behavior.Through interview the campus designer,with understanding of the background and principle of campus planning and design of the campus under historical conditions.This paper descripted,analyzed and summarized the characteristics of campus planning from the campus function,space and the order of the space.Second,with the classify of indoor and outdoor space of campus,this paper recorded the daily routines of campus outdoor space through interviews of teachers and students.The results show that the place spirits created by different outdoor environments have remarkable impacts on academic communications.The place with special and comfortable environments provide teachers and students higher sense of belongings and identity,such as the library and teaching building of Xiangtan Normal College.Finally,this paper summarized the expression of place spirits in campus planning and architectural design of Xiangtan Normal College. |
