The college campus is not only the place of higher education, but also the small society which students study, live and work in. With the increasing number of the students on campus, the college located in the city are under increasingly heavy population pressure just like the city itself, showing the trend of high density. In this background, the activity outdoor spaces in the campus is becoming limited, the will of the activity in outdoor spaces is coming down. If the conditions remains like this, it will influences the physical and mental health of college students, and we’ll see nothing about the meaning of the campus spirit. Hence, to investigate the construction of campus for creating a good and adaptive campus for comprehensive college students in nowdays has a great and practical importance. In order to improve the campus outdoor space for college students, the analysis campus con-struction bases on the activities of college students. Firstly, we analyze the educational back-grounds and the current situation of college students’ activities. Then we conduct a questionnaire survey for the students’activities on campus and investigate the usage of the space on the campus in the areas of city with dense population, by the combination of theoretical research and practical investigation.Basing on our investigation and analysis, we propose some reasonable strategies and methods for the construction of campus with dense students, summarized as follows:(1) Ask students to participate in campus planning;(2) Take full advantage of the campus space, i.e. centralization and three-dimensional layout;(3) The designs should be consistent with the function, and utilize vegetation and landscape reasonably to create a comfortable and active campus.
