A Study On Regional Characteristics Of Waterfront Landscape In Traditional Villages Of Chaoshan Area

With the concept of "beautiful countries" being applied,the water system which is part of the important piece of a village will be the key to further development.Affected by various pollution,the poor ability of drain floods,sewage discharge,and water irrigation makes the village water system not possible to maintain sustainable development,no mention of becoming beautiful.In Chaoshan area of eastern Guangdong,there are a lot of villages that are under development,and most people don't care about the protection of the environment.Based on the above facts,the author studies the characteristics of the waterfront of the traditional villages in Chaoshan area and the experience of water management.This article did research in dozens of traditional villages among cities of Chaozhou,Shantou,Jieyang for the waterfront landscape.It summed up the regional characteristics,and learned the basis of inheriting the experience of traditional water management.Combined with the theory of sponge city,it made full use of low impact development technology on the traditional village water environment to enhance the renovation,hence,to create regional cultural characteristics of the waterfront space.This article contains five main chapters:Chapter One: Explains the research background,the root problem,the goal and the significance.Defines the scope of the research,object,related concepts.Briefly,analyze the relevant domestic and foreign research trends,and show out the research method and framework.Chapter Two: A full detailed description of the historical events,geographical features,economic characteristics,town pattern of Chaoshan area,and a summary of the current situation and the existence of specific problems of the traditional villages.Chapter Three: Analyze the characteristic of Water System from micro view to macro view.Chapter Four: Summarize the root source of Chaoshan area specialties of village water management,waterfront space layout,space shapes,riparian vegetation,regional materials,and waterfront activities.Chapter Five: Choose and analyze excellent cases of waterfront space activation,such as Ming Kong Village,Lin Huishan Village,Dengfeng Village of Puning City.Discusses the idea of traditional waterfront space activation and provides a reference for the future waterfront construction of traditional village in Chaoshan area.
