Under the influence of the aging problem in our country,the traditional pension model faces the severe challenge.The development of the domestic pension industry is still at the initial stage,and it is urgent to seek new ideas to deal with the huge pension demand.This paper proposes to introduce the model of "Pension Cohousing" community model,to integrate the resources of the home caring and social institutions,and try to create the principles of community construction to adapt to the physiological characteristics and spiritual needs of the elderly in order to alleviate the social pressure in aging.As good results of the model have been obtained in the Western developed countries,the domestic market has begun to do research and preliminary tests.I believe that the combination of China's conditions and the status of pension industry,the systematic research of “Pension Cohousing” community model has exploration significance.In this paper,through the interdisciplinary literature research,case study,analysis and induction and other methods to understand the status of domestic pension industry and to analyze the applicability and feasibility of the “Pension Cohousing” community in China,in order to extract the three important operational principles of the community model: the principle of appropriate age;the principle of intensivism and the principle of sustainability.Finally,base on the above research,this paper discusses the spatial construction method of “Pension Cohousing” community,combined with the author's project experience.The main subject of the paper consists of five parts.The first part elaborates the present situation and the influence of the aging of our country,to provide the background and the real problem for the following discussions.The second part,focusing on China's pension industry,and analysis the existing problems of the three pension models,to show the necessary to introduce a new pension model.In the third part,through the elaboration of the concept and formation process of the “Pension Cohousing” community,analyzes its characteristics and development patterns,and combines them with practical cases to systematically understand the subject.The fourth part analyzes the feasibility of the “Pension Cohousing” community in our country's pension models,and sums up the three important operational principles of it.In the fifth part,based on the three operational principles,combined with the author's experience in the Zhuhai Waterfall Villa project,the spatial construction methods are discussed and studied in detail.The innovation of this paper lies in the field of planning,architecture,sociology,economics and other disciplines.Through the combination of typical cases and specific project practices,to provide a unique insight into the principles and spatial construction methods of the “Pension Cohousing” community.The ultimate goal is to provide new ideas and strategies for alleviating the aging problem,seeking a more balance between the quality of life and social needs of the pension options for the Chinese elderly.
