Research On Humanistic Art Of Beijing's Official Archway

The ancient archway,known as the wedge or the cut,is the unique architectural form in China,dating back to the ancient Hengmen,as Wutoumen of the Tang Dynasty for its embryonic form,Lifangmen of the Song Dynasty exactly the prototype.As a building monomer,the archway has a strict norm of feudal hierarchy,which is closely related to the form of feudal society in China for many years.The shape of the archway is unique,decorated with manifold or simple work,which has a highly both aesthetic and artistic value.Furthermore,the values for human and cultural continuance can not be ignored,which also get Historical and cultural information involved,indicating a profound cultural heritage.This paper summarizes the research achievements of the development of archway in China and the research results of the official archway in Beijing.At the same time,it analyzes and contrasts the buildings similar to the archives in foreign countries,and analyzes the unique construction methods of the official archway.Combined with regional cultural characteristics and cultural background,all aspects of research,heritage,and protection shall be promoted.Based on the study of the official archway in Beijing,this paper is intended to give the panorama of the investigation and research of the existing official archway,and to analyze the composition of the official archway from different aspects.In the process of inspection,to analyze from the aspects of the archway building elements design(such as material,pattern,color,proportion),the author lists the different materials of the archway patterns,the comparison of its color charts,the proportion of the kinds of the archway and a comprehensive analysis of the decorative arts and techniques.This paper aims to assess the relevant results of the investigation in the form of graphic combination for archaeological buildings,and examines the relationship between the archway and the surrounding environment,by citing various examples of design combinations.Based on the site inspection,this paper systematically introduces the origin and development of the archives,the image of the cultural landscape related,and analyzes from the perspective of humanities and art.It concludes that the humanities and arts values of Beijing official archway of mainly present in: the respected hierarchical system,the transmission of imperial dignity,harmony between man and the nature,the regional cultural characteristics,folk customs and other aspects.The archway reflects China's traditional culture so vividly that it deserves to be viewed as the treasures of Chinese traditional culture and arts.
