Water ring vacuum pumps have simple structure,easy maintenance,widely used in industrial production,especially suitable for working conditions of flammable and explosive or aqueous and gassy.But due to the low efficiency,with the large-scale of water ring vacuum pumps,its energy-consumption problem gradually attented by people,high energy consumption of water ring vacuum pump became the bottleneck of enterprise development in the part of applications.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the energy saving technology of water ring vacuum pumps.The power consumption of water ring vacuum pumps is analyzed according to the working principle of water ring vacuum pumps and the law of thermodynamics,reached the hydraulic loss power making the maximum proportion in all kinds of wasted power,its size is approximately equal to the power of compressed gas of water ring vacuum pumps.P ut forward the calculation method of hydraulic loss power of water ring vacuum pumps,deduced the calculation formula,and analyzed factors which can influence the power consumption of water ring vacuum pumps.The study shows that the power consumption of water ring vacuum pump would grow bigger with the increase of rotational speed and supplement water flow.Based on the performance test,further explored the working characteristic of water ring vacuum pumps,studied the relationship between supplementary water flow and inspiratory capacity,shaft power and overall efficiency,verified the theoretical results,research shows that the supplementary water flow of water ring vacuum pumps existing an optimum value under a specific suction pressure,higher or lower than this value,inspiratory capacity and overall efficiency will decrease.In order to get maximum inspiratory capacity,different supplement water flow is needed under different suction pressure.Analyzing the consumption power of different types of water ring vacuum pumps show that its potential of energy saving is very great,the energy-saving rate can reach 19%~30%,the energy-saving effect will be more significant for high-power water ring vacuum pumps.Based on the results of the study,proposed the efficient running control method of water ring vacuum pumps,through the forvacuum,exploring the best rotational speed,exploring the best water flow rate,pressure stabilizing operation such steps,running status of water ring vacuum pumps can be optimized,the goal of saving energy and reducing consumption can be achieved.The research results are of great significance for reducing the power consumption and improving the economic benefit of water ring vacuum pumps.
