Ceramic insulator is one of the insulation devices widely used in power system,and it plays a role of isolation between insulation and power supply.At present,small and medium-sized enterprises generally produce ceramic insulators by manual way.There are many problems such as physical and mental health,low productivity and unstable quality.In this paper,ceramic insulator automatic cutting production line as the object,factors of ceramic insulator cutting process and its effect are analyzed,thus the machine substitutions from the point of view,based on the design of a ceramic insulator automatic cutting production line for the robot and the corresponding automatic feeding,grasping,grinding,handling mechanism and system design and system integration and simulation.The main contents and conclusions of the paper are as follows.(1)Summarized the research trends of the key technologies involved,including automatic cutting production line cutting robot technology,end effector and virtual simulation technology,and made clear the design objectives and ideas of this research object.(2)Factors of ceramic insulators machining current and its influence are analyzed,combined with the Jiangxi enterprises in the production of ceramic insulators,sort out and summarize the robot automatic cutting production line of ceramic insulators based on the functional requirements,and the spatial layout of the overall scheme of self cutting production line design and process equipment the.(3)Structure design of main mechanical components of ceramic insulator automatic production line,including new mechanical gripper,grinding mechanism and robot end mechanism.The ceramic insulator blank is brittle and the design of the mechanical gripper,a constant grinding emery cloth and abrasive grab the combination to construct a set of end with grasping clamping workpiece,grinding,unloading grab finished actuators to achieve three-in-one,workpiece automatic feeding.(4)Using ANSYS Workbench software to do static and modal analysis for mechanical gripper,the influence of mechanical gripper on the size and surface pressure of the workpiece and the dynamic characteristics of the mechanical gripper were calculated and analyzed.The virtual prototype model of mechanical hand was created with Adams and the simulation analysis of the operation process was carried out.The designed mechanical hand has good rigidity and no vibration,and it can meet the requirements of non-destructive grasping of the workpiece.(5)Chose ABB industrial robot as the research system of the workpiece handling,loading and unloading,palletizing operations such as sorting key equipment,and the establishment of a ceramic insulator automatic cutting production line system in the environment of the RobotStudio software,programming the system production process and coordination control and information management.On this basis,the off-line simulation operation of the ceramic insulator automatic cutting production line is carried out,which provides a means for the design verification,production and commissioning of the production line system.The design of ceramic insulator automatic cutting production line is the first attempt of "machine replacement" in the field of ceramic insulator production,which is of great significance and application prospect for the health protection of ceramic insulator producers,as well as the improvement of product quality and yield.
