With the increasingly fiercer market competition and the increase of labor cost,the domestic enterprises are in urgent need of the introduction of advanced automated productive facility to replace the traditional way of manual operation.At present,industrial robots have been widely used in handling,welding,painting,assembling and somewhere else that acquires both high-intensity of labor and poor-working conditions in many large and medium-sized enterprise.However,for some small and medium-sized enterprises,high cost of industrial robots doesn't fit the actual production demands of small and medium-sized enterprise.Therefore,there are still some small and medium-sized enterprises still insist the traditional way of manufacturing operation.That means the poor-working condition,high-labor intensity,lower productive efficiency,and high defective rate.Especially in some small and mediumsized enterprises' workshops of which the working environment is dangerous and harsh,using the traditional manufacturing operation is still used to load and unload the billet and finished goods.With the new labor law of the People's Republic of China been promulgated and implemented,the problems,such as "labor shortage" and "hiring difficult",are becoming fiercer.Some small and medium-sized enterprises with low degree of automation are in urgent need of upgrading of existing equipment and the lowcost automation equipment.This manipulator in this research project is in order to achieve the automatic loading and unloading of silicon steel sheet of motors.According to the experience of designing a platform to carry the automatic manipulator that can be used in load and unload the silicon steel sheets of motors.Yet more problems are discovered in the process of operating.For example,the scarcity of adapting ability,which means the manipulator cannot be used in many models and production of small batch of silicon steel sheets of motors,is not fit the actual manufacturing demands in actual production needs.Based on the motor manufacturing enterprise's actual production needs,silicon steel sheets' productive requirements,and the actual operating status of the developed automatic loading and unloading robot of silicon steel sheets of motors,this paper attends to improve the manipulator' ability and also focuses on the development of loading and unloading robot for rotor piece on the basis of improvement of the robot for stator piece of stamping production.In the developing process,this paper comes up with the weakness beginning with many aspects of original manipulator such like structural design,parts processing,assembly and maintenance,and combines with the problems researchers encountered in the debugging and running process.Then the researcher figure out the corresponding solutions to solve these defects of each module,overcome the insufficiency of the original manipulator operation and correct faults in the process.Besides,the paper also implements and verifies these solutions in the subsequent improvement.Eventually,based on the actual acquirements in the productive process,researchers design automatic loading and unloading robot for silicon steel sheets of motors stamping.The overall structure of the manipulator design is based on Solid Works 3D modeling software and all its components on the machine design and virtual assembly are completed by using the same modeling software.The next thing to be done is analyzing and concluding the strength and stiffness on ANSYS.Lastly,researchers figure out the on-site problems in the assembly and commissioning process.
