Recent years,the living standard has been improved increasingly,but the survey of national physique health shows a declining trend.As one of the core elements of physical health,cardiorespiratory endurance has received more and more attention in order to improve the quality of national physique.The maximum oxygen uptake,VO2max,has become a common standard for testing and assessing cardiopulmonary endurance among the measurements of cardiopulmonary endurance.The study on cardiopulmonary endurance consists of cardiopulmonary endurance testing and training.The test methods are divided into the direct test method for analyzing exhaled gases and the indirect test method for predicting the maximum oxygen uptake by using the relationship between exercise load and heart rate.The level of cardiopulmonary endurance is greatly influenced by the objective factors such as heredity,but it can still be promoted through exercising.The traditional cardiopulmonary endurance test is not conducive to be popularized owing to costly equipments and complicated methods.Some cardiopulmonary endurance test devices could not improve cardiopulmonary endurance because of the single function to test.There are many ways to improve the cardiopulmonary endurance,but most of them are less scientific and effective for their difficulty to determine the intensity of exercise.Therefore,this thesis designed a cardiopulmonary endurance testing system based on common exercise cycle.It can be used to implement training plan and improve cardiopulmonary endurance level.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1)Theoretical research of the system design:this thesis analyzed the principle of two stages workload indirect cardiopulmonary endurance test based on cycle ergometer,and put forward the design scheme of cardiopulmonary endurance testing system.It analyzed the characteristics and measuring methods of the heart rate signal,designed the external magnetic reluctance generator,and explained the necessity and the design principle of the constant power design.(2)Design and implementation of the system:Through the analysis and summary of the design principles and the design of software and hardware,the system achieved the heart rate and power measuring and constant power control.Furthermore,the cardiopulmonary endurance test scheme was also integrated into a human-computer interaction software.The test verifies the accuracy and effectiveness of the system by comparing with the gold standard equipment-MONARK cycle ergometer.(3)System application research:Designed HIIT(High intensity interval training)based on the system,it analyzed the conception of HIIT and its mechanism to enhance cardiopulmonary endurance as well as the implementation method of training.As a device for both cardiopulmonary endurance test and training program,it has designed an experiment consisted of cardiopulmonary endurance testing and HIIT training.The experiment results showed that the maximum oxygen uptake of the testers is raised.Apart from that,the other physical indicators including weight,fat rate,BMI are also improved.Thus,the experiment confirmed the effectiveness of HIIT training in this system to improve the level of cardiopulmonary endurance,and formed an integrated system of both cardiopulmonary endurance testing and training.Main innovation of this thesis:(1)Based on fitness cycle,the thesis implemented the cardiopulmonary endurance test through designing the external magnetic resistance device.The magnitude of the magnetic resistance is controlled owing to PWM which adjusts the torque motor.The system feedback regulates the resistance of the reluctance device,so that the external output power remained stable,and the accuracy of cardiopulmonary endurance test was ensured.(2)Considering the characteristics of the cardiopulmonary endurance test system which has the function of both training and testing,HIIT training program is designed to provide effective cardiopulmonary endurance test system and training for the general public.
