Due to the gradually increasing attention which is paid to the environment and energy issues,the engines are supposed to satisfy higher performance requirements nowadays.And the high pressure common rail system stands out in modern diesel engines because of its obvious advantages.At present,the engine has been almost perfect in the structure design,so in order to develop a more intelligent,more sensitive and more accurate high-pressure common rail system controller,it is necessary for the researchers to improve its control performance,to achieve the purpose of improving the performance of diesel engines.The object of this study is to develop a high pressure common rail injection system that can realize precise control of the fuel injection profile to control the injection process better,and further promote the engine performance.After intensive study on the working principle and control mode of the components of the high pressure common rail fuel injection system,and entire grasp of the input and output signals and all the control requirements,the whole system design was completed,as well as the software and hardware design,and also the system debug and experiment validation were performed.In this study,the MC9S12XEP100 single chip microcomputer was selected as superior chip,and the solenoid valve controller MC33816 chip produced by Freescale,which allows programming was used to realize precisely control of electromagnetic valve.The main design work is consist of hardware modules including power supply circuit,minimum singlechip system,minimum MC33816 chip,CAN communication circuit,rail pressure conditioning circuit,boost circuit,injector drive circuit and oil pump drive circuit.After that,the circuit board welding work is completed.Finally,based on the hardware system,the software design including singlechip initialization,MC33816 initialization,SPI communication,CAN communication,boost control,high pressure fuel pump control,control of injector current profiles,rail pressure signal conditioning and rail pressure control were successfully completed according to the control requirements of various parts of the fuel system.In order to validate the function of the controller designed in this study,the controller was verified on the laboratory pump test bed.The results of experiments show that the controller software and hardware developed in this paper can run normally and has the ability to control the rail pressure and current profiles of injector accurately and effectively.
