Design And Fabrication Of 150D-A60 High-lift Slurry Pump

The slurry pump,which transports fluid containing solid-liquid mixture,is mainly used in coal washing,clean coal,electric power,metallurgy and so on.There are two reasons for the necessity to develop efficient energy-saving,reliable operation,long-term high-speed slurry pump.One is that it is used in wide range of industries,especially in the aluminum plant which it's long transport distance and high-lift solution pump.Multiple slurry pumps are used in series and produce vibration and noise easily.Another is that the slurry pump is important energy consumption equipment.It is important to replace multiple pumps in series and reduce equipment investment.The design and fabrication of 150D-A60 high-lift slurry pump are mainly researched in this paper.1)The hydraulic design methods of the centrifugal slurry pump are analysed such as similar conversion methodof based on unitarian theory and similarity theory and the velocity coefficient method etc.2)According to the specific parameters,reasonable model pump is selected.The impeller and volute are designed by using the similarity conversion method and the velocity coefficient method.Wood mold is drawn by analyzing the parameters D₂,?₂,??,?,?₀,etc.,which affect the hydraulic performance.3)Three-dimensional model of the impeller and volute is built by UG software,the mesh division is carried out by importing the three-dimensional solid model into the GAMBIT.The grid data is imported into FLUENT for calculation in order to obtain the useful information form the internal pump flows.4)According to the characteristics of high-lift slurry pump and requirements of wear-resisting conditions,the material GLH-1 is used in over-flow components,and it is tested to meet the users'requirement in service life of the over-flow components.5)Fabrication and type test of 150D-A60 machine pump is carried out.First,it is made for impeller,volute,bracket,shaft seal and so on.Second,the appropriate motor connection mode is selected.At last,water test is done in test pump station to verify whether it can meet the performance requirement.The operation result shows that the pump equipment runs smoothly and with trouble-free,the performance parameters meet the requirements.This design success of high-lift slurry pump has played an important role in energy saving and reducing consumption.
