The airbag system has been developed for several decades at home and abroad,and has made a lot of achievements,including gas generator and air bag.The research of the ECU controller and the airbag ignition algorithm in the control system are the key technologies.How to identify the collision and the required time to fire of the airbag become the focus of the study.With the rapid development of electronic components,it is necessary to design an ECU controller with a faster processing speed and multi direction detection of collision acceleration.At the same time,in order to solve the problem of false ignition and non ignition in the ignition algorithm,a new airbag control system was designed in this paper.On the basis of the introduction about the working principle of the airbag,this paper expounded the power management and ignition control IC mainstream application.This paper also summarized the types of collision sensors,four kinds of acceleration sensor interface type and its selection basis.In order to improve the reliability of the control system,it is convenient to use a large capacitor as the standby power supply.This paper briefly introduced the advantages of the common airbag ignition algorithm and the development of the ignition algorithm based on video and radar sensors.An ECU controller was designed based on PowerPC architecture,using MPC5634M as the main processor,using the dual axis accelerometer MMA6825BKW as onboard impact sensor,using Infineon Corporation's TLE6710Q as power management and ignition control chip.And the communication between CAN and other systems was designed.The hardware principle diagram and PCB diagram was drawed by using PADS.And a model was finally made.Then this paper presented a variable width moving window integral algorithm.Combined with the change rate of acceleration to detect impact strength,the ignition timing of the algorithm was verified.Meanwhile,the algorithm has the advantages of strong anti-interference ability and rapid collision detection.Then the algorithm was programmed with C language by using Code Warrior 2.10,and was programmed with graph by using Simulink.The airbag algorithm was programmed into ECU controller module at length.The airbag control system was verified by the combination of test and experiment.The ECU controller hardware was debugged by using multimeter.The energy saving effect of the standby power supply was tested.Using the computer simulation software Hypermesh,a sled model was established.The model simulated a real vehicle crash acceleration waveform.A sled test is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the airbag ignition algorithm at 20 km/h and 50 km/h frontal impact.The experimental results show that the airbag control system designed in this paper is fast and accurate,and has a certain reference value to the research of the airbag control system.
