Practice And Thinking On The "Sponge City" Development In The Yanghu Ecological New Town

The water problem was ignored during the city development in the past.,which indused many problems such as water pollution,the shortage of clean water,urban inland inundation etc.In this process,a system—the "sponge city"— was gradually developed to solve those water system problems.However,most of the existing research of the "sponge city"focused on planning and engineering technologies.How to integrate the "sponge city" into the city development needs more research.Based on this,the paper does comparative analysis on theories and practices of some actual foreign and domestic cases,summarizes the experiences of the "sponge city"construction in a few new districts,and analyzes the deficiencies during the development of the Yanghu Ecological New Town.The purpose is to provide a direct reference to the new district development in "sponge city" construction.This paper takes the Yanghu Ecological New Town as case,and by using various research methods--case study,field survey and data analysis,draws the following conclusions:(1)During the development and construction of the urban new district,with reasonable planning and construction,the urban new area can achieve zero emission of rainwater.(2)In the process of urban development and construction in Yanghu ecological new town,the use of artificial wetlands can effectively build a green rainwater infrastructure,which play an important role in rain consumption and purification.(3)The construction of sponge city can be connected with green building,recycled water treatment,water use system coordination planning,achieving the construction goals "cleaning" "discharging" of sponge city.(4)Green building,low-impact development facilities in the landscape can effectively control the non-point source pollution of rainwater and enhance the water quality in the area.
