Research On Ecological Boundary Delimitation Of Urban Space

The contradiction between urban development and environmental protection requires urgently to adopt a new concept of development which regards ecological protection,environment capacity as the determining basis of urben development orientation and scale.This paper analyzes and classifies the existing methods of urban spatial boundary,and puts forward the concept of urban ecological boundary.The research tries to explore the method of delineation of urban spatial boundary based on biological protection.The main contents and results are as follows:(1)A systematic study on urban spatial growth management.Through the analysis of concepts,methods and practical cases of urben space growth boundary and other urben spatial growth management tools,the current research methods of urban spatial growth management can be divided into three categories according to the research perspective:urban construction,ecological rigid control and consideration both urban construction and ecological protection.This paper puts forward the ecological boundary of urban construction and ecological protection,and expounds its connotation,scope and analyzes its similarities and differences with other concepts.(2)Research on the method of ecological boundary delimitation of urban space.The ecological boundaries include rigid boundary and flexible boundary,in which the rigid boundary is set up to establish ecological sensitivity evaluation system with the selection of vegetation and animals as evaluation indicators,and ultimately select the region with high degree of sensitivity that is the rigid boundary;the flexible boundary take prediction of urban ecological footprint and population size through the establishment of ecological footprint model,multiple linear regression model and so on,so as to predict the scale of urban construction land,and analyze the situation under different guidance,and finally delineate the ecological boundary of the city.(3)The application and research of the method of ecological boundary delimitation.Taking Xiaogan,Hubei province as an example,this paper makes a verification and practice of the ecological boundary demarcation method,and sums up the experience and deficiencies.
