With the rapid development of the automobile industry,the global car ownership is also increasing.Huge car ownership has brought a series of traffic safety problems,the most important manifestations of these traffic safety problems for all types of vehicle collision accident.According to the statistics published by the relevant authorities,the highest incidence of vehicle accidents in the various types of vehicle accidents is the frontal collision accident of the vehicle,and the occurrence of the frontal collision accident and the highest occupant mortality rate in the frontal collision accident.The collision safety performance of the vehicle determines the protection ability of the vehicle in the collision accident,how to improve the safety performance of the automobile product has become the focus and difficulty of the research in the automobile field.In this paper,the safety performance of the vehicle in the case of a small superimposed collision accident is studied.According to the New Institute of Highway Safety(hereinafter referred to as IIHS),the new car evaluation procedure for the front super-overlapping collision accident-positive 25%overlap Collision test to carry on the computer simulation test to the Toyota Yaris2010 model,uses the crashworthiness of the vehicle body structure and the comprehensive damage value WIC as the evaluation index of the safety performance of the vehicle collision.According to IIHS on the positive 25%bias collision test conditions to establish a finite element vehicle collision model,the use of LS-DYNA on a car 25%overlap collision simulation experiments to measure the impact of the collision after the crew cabin In the rigid body dynamics software MADYMO,a driver-restraint system-crew model was established to output the driver's response to the occupant's injury under the condition.The vehicle body structure and occupant damage under the condition were evaluated.The collision safety performance is poor under positive small overlap collision tests.In this paper,the optimal design of the energy absorbing parts of the vehicle and the key components of the passenger compartment are improved from the point of view of improving the collision capacity of the vehicle occupant cabin and enhancing the occupant protection ability.After optimizing the vehicle under the same working condition The results show that the structural crashworthiness assessment level of the vehicle in the positive 25%overlap collision test is improved from passing to the excellent,and the comprehensive damage value WIC of the occupant is reduced by 28%,indicating that the vehicle is in the front small overlap collision test The collision safety performance has been greatly improved.
