The container is a kind of light steel structure.The container can be used as a building unit of prefabricated building.Shipping container houses is shaped by assembly of container.Shipping container houses is accepted due to the advantage of convenient and facilitative and environment protect.You need meet the requirements for window and door openings if you want change the container to shipping container houses.It need to dig big holes even dismantle the whole slab when assembly of a number of containers.Dig big holes and dismantle the whole slab weaken stressed skin diaphragm of corrugate plates.Meanwhile the mechanical property of container is influenced.The mechanical property of shipping container houses is analyzed in this paper.This paper mainly including the following aspect:1.The model of single shipping container houses that different side plate with openings was established by finite element software ABAQUS.The stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of shipping container houses that different side panel with openings was analyzed under static monotonic loading.The opening form varied in the rate of opening and height to weight ratio of opening and the shape of opening and the position of opening.(1)The study indicated that the stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of shipping container houses increase with the increase of the height to weight ratio of opening and under the same rate of opening.With the rate of opening increased,the influence of height to weight ratio of opening was more apparent.With L(x)(L(x)is the distance from opening to loading point)reduced,the stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of container gradually reduced.The influence of position of opening on the stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of container wasn't apparent when L(x)less than 1500 mm.(2)the mechanical property of container was analyzed under the different rate and position of opening.The influence of opening on stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of container wasn't apparent when the opening was round and quadrate.But the stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of container was improved when the opening was rectangle of big height to weight ratio.2.Due to expand space,it is possible to dig holes not only on the side plate but also on the end plate when assembly of a number of containers.The shipping container houses of one-bay and four stories were analyzed in this chapter.(1)The drift and deflection was within the standard level under vertical loading and wind loading.(2)The end plates were opened in different size.The influence of end plate with opening on stiffness of shipping container houses wasn't apparent under vertical wind loading.The end plates with big opening weaken the stiffness of shipping container houses under horizontal wind loading.(3)The influence of local column on stiffness of shipping container houses wasn't apparent under horizontal wind loading.The open and dismantle of vertical corrugate plates caused the loss of horizontal resistance forces of shipping container houses.The local column could improve the loss of horizontal resistance forces of shipping container houses under vertical wind loading.Moreover the local column could reduce the deflection of beam.3.The best drift and drift angle of two-bay and six stories shipping container houses was analyzed under earthquake loading and wind loading.The study indicated that the best drift and drift angle of structure met requirement of standard.The drift and deformation of structure was difference under three seismic waves due to the influence of seismic wave spectral characteristics.But the best drift angle of structure met requirement of standard.Moreover the drift of shipping container houses was less than bare steel frame.
