With the rapid development of modern industry and power industry,the peak and valley difference of power network load is increasing day by day.Production of large capacity nuclear power unit,large-scale integration of intermittent energy sources,such as wind power and photovoltaic,poor performance of nuclear power regulation,the uncertainty and randomness of photovoltaic power side bring more and more influence to the safe and stable operation of power grid.The power system urgently needs more peaking,frequency modulation,phase modulation and reserve capacity to ensure the safe,stable and economic operation of the power system.Pumped storage power station has become the most effective and economic solution to the above problems because of its flexibility,speed,economy and reliability.However,the design of "heart" generator motors for pumped storage power station has many problems such as complicated working conditions,various parameters and difficult selection and the relationship among parameters should be made effort to handle in design.The thesis researches slot current calculation of generator motots and parallel branch number selection,investigates and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the 4 branches or 7 branches winding scheme to the direct overall design of pumped storage power station by the means of confirming stator winding branch of generator motors for a pumped storage power station in Shandong.Firstly,the thesis introduces the basic data and technical principle that influence the selection of equipment in the design of generator motors and confirms the importance of electromagnetic parameters in design.Secondly,the thesis introduces the design concept of connection scheme for unconventional winding of generator motors,calculates slot current of generator motors,confirms the number of paralleled shunt windings via comparing and studying operation data in pumped storage power stations of the same type and size at home and abroad.Finally,the thesis compares the design concepts,design scheme and operation performance of 6 main engine manufacture factories and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of 4 branches and 7 branches of generator motors.
