Research Of Parking Space Reconstruction And Design Of Old Communities Based On The Demand Level Theory

In recent years,the number of private cars in China is increasing,and the proportion of families own private cars is getting higher and higher.Communities,those constructed from 1990 s has become the city's old communities in today,due to the lack of consideration of the parking problem when construction and design,the parking spaces in these old communities are getting tense,with the increasing number of vehicles.As the socio-economic and people's living standards improved,residents' pursuit of live quality is getting higher and higher,but the roads,public activity plaza,and green lands of these old communities are occupied by private cars,resulting in a contradiction between people and cars,as well as the noise,air pollution problems,there are still potential fire safety issues.Based on the above problems,this paper takes Xuzhou city as an example,to studying the reconstruction and design of parking space of old communities based on the demand level theory.Firstly,this paper surveys the parking spaces and parking environment of selected samples,analyzes the parking behavior and the parking demand of residents by questionnaire survey,summarizes the common problems of parking existing in the old communities,and analyzes their causes.Then this paper introduces the "Demand Level" theory,to partition residents' parking demand hierarchy,based on the actual needs and psychological needs of the residents,this paper discusses the strategies and models of the transformation of the old urban residential parking space,in order to solve the problem of parking in the old communities.Finally,this paper takes the typical old community,Fenghuayuan community in Xuzhou city as an example,conducts the re-planning of dynamic traffic and the design of parking space based on resident' parking demand,in order to solve the problem of parking in Fenghuayuan community.The completion of this paper can provide a useful reference for the reconstruction and design of parking space of the similar old communities.
