Putting rubber piece(powder)into concrete,can improve lots of performance,and solve problem about a large of number of waste rubber reclying.Study on waste tire rubber concrete has been an important topic both at home and abroad.The aim of this paper is to research the mechanical properties and frost resistance of waste tire rubber concrete.The main results are follows:(1)Compressive strength and splitting tensile strength results of waste tire rubber concrete are investigated systemically through experimental work with 180 cubes,the effects of rubber particle size and rubber replacement ratio on mechanical properties was researched.The relation between the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of waste tire rubber concrete,was obtained by regression analysis.The results show that the incorporation of rubber particles has a significant effect on the mechanical properties of concrete.The reduction of compressive strength is greater than that of splitting tensile strength.The decrease in the strength of concrete with rubber particles is less than that of concrete mixed with rubber powder.(2)Through comparative method,an experiment has been carried out to consider water cement ratio,rubber particle size and rubber replacement affect the stress-strain curves,and the stress-strain curve equation was fitted.The results show that the peak stress,elastic modulus will be decreased,meanwhile the peak strain will be increased because of the incorporation of rubber particles.The incorporation of rubber can significantly improve the brittle failure of concrete.Concrete with large particle size has a better destruction pattern.(3)Test was carried through on the prism specimens by means of standard quick freezing and thawing method.The ratio of weight and compressive strength were measured.The prediction model was established by considered the factor about water cement ratio,rubber replacement ratio and the number cycles of freezing and thawing.The results show that the incorporation of rubber particle will be improved frost resistance of concrete.Concrete with higer strength,the ratio of weight loss will be smaller.Waste tire rubber concrete will be showed the best frost resistance when the rubber replacement ratio is 10%. |
