| Traditional pneumatic tyre in vehicles are at risk of perforation blowout at high speed,which lead to sharp decline in tire pressure and cause serious traffic accident.The elastic safety wheel is a special kind of wheel in this paper,which set a special wheel and rubber coated elastic steel wire ring joint as a body,it realizes the wheel and tire together.Due to the use of inflatable mechanical elastic structure,it has stung resistance,resistance,strong carrying capacity and other advantages.This subject is to study the mechanical elastic wheels cornering mechanical characteristics,for the performance evaluation of the wheel,the structure optimization design and guide the vehicle dynamic analysis and so on,the main research content includes the following aspects:First,this paper expounded the system structure and basic principle of the elastic mechanical wheel,simplified the mechanical elastic wheel structure reasonably.The mechanical elastic wheel geometry model was established by CATIA and static grounding finite element model of mechanical elastic wheel was established by ABAQUS.Then the sinkage of the wheel,the relationship of pressure distribution and vertical load was got through the static simulation analysis in vertical and roll ground conditions,which laid a solid foundation on the further study for the wheel’s mechanics characteristics.After then,the general theoretical model of mechanical elastic wheel’s cornering characteristics was established in pure rolling and braking-driving conditions which regarded tread as elastomer and carcass as the rigid body.Theoretical formula of aligning torque,side force and side-slip angle was deduced.General theoretical model was verified reasonably compared with Fiala tire model of longitudinal force,lateral force and aligning torque model formula in pure cornering and longitudinal sliding cornering conditions.It provided a certain reference on the further study of non-steady state cornering properties of elastic mechanical wheel.At last,cornering characteristics curve was simulated by the mechanical elastic wheel’s cornering characteristics finite element model in pure rolling and braking-driving conditions.Steady state cornering characteristics test was done by using low speed plate type of elastic mechanical wheel tire mechanical characteristics test rig which was independently developed by the group.Finite element model was verified reasonably compared the test data to the simulation data.At the same time,change regularity of the mechanical elastic wheel’s cornering characteristics was simulated in different vehicle speed,road surface friction coefficient and the wheel’s camber.It preliminary explored the influence factors of mechanical elastic wheel’s cornering characteristics. |
