Asphalt pavement is widely used for high-grade highways construction with its driving comfort and convenient maintenance.When put into use,driving load and environment factors would effect on the pavement,thus it is inevitable that the asphalt pavement would become loose and potholes appear.The conventional repair is either too difficult to implement or its durability poor,especially when the damage occurs in winter and rainy season since it is cold and wet.If these problems are not settled in time,the driving safety and road service life are to be seriously threatened.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out research on in time and easy-approaching pothole repair in the winter and rainy season and that a set of maintenance technologies for cold construction be put forward.Based on the current asphalt pavement pothole repair technologies and construction crafts,as well as Shaanxi province’s asphalt pavement maintenance situation,this paper puts forward a set of cold construction maintenance technologies for asphalt pavement pothole in the winter and rainy season by studying and improving the interface materials for pothole repair,asphalt mixture cold construction crafts,aiming to provide convenient construction for related maintenance departments.This project of the cold construction timely maintenance technologies for asphalt pavement pothole was carried out in the following aspects.Firstly,this paper analyzed the influencing factors of asphalt pavement pothole repair in the winter and rainy season by summarizing the current asphalt pavement pothole repair situation and related research results.Knowing the crux and core technologies of in time repair lays foundation for subsequent research.Secondly,this paper studied the pothole repair interface materials in low temperature and humidity,and analyzed the influence of interface materials’ types,dosage,curing time,viscosity and test temperature on the bonding effect between pothole interface and repair materials through interlayer shear test and interlayer pullout test,and found the best interface materials A and B,as well as their dosage and condition for use.Then,three typical cold construction pothole repair asphalt mixture both at home and abroad were selected to carry out a comparison analysis in terms of their storage performance,construction workability,road performance,durability and mechanical properties.The cold construction mixture of the optimal performance was chosen.This paper studied the durability of the pothole repaired in low temperature and humid environment in two perspectives.First,the durability of interface materials was analyzed and evaluated.Second,took the above mentioned cold filling material and different interface materials to carry out quasi-rutting tests for evaluation and analysis on the integral durability of repaired pothole.The study concluded that the combination of interface material A,the best interface material,and cold construction mixture C generates excellent durability.A test road was paved with the pothole repair materials proposed by this paper,through subsequent observation,the paper came up with a set of construction technologies and constructive crafts for Shaanxi’s asphalt pavement pothole repair in winter and rainy season.
