Study On The Design Of Reading Space In University Library In Information Technology Age

With the rapid development of Internet technology,we have stepped into the information society.The storage,transmission and update speed of information have a profound impact in our university library's space layout form.University library,a comprehensive space which is make up with the traditional reading,book collection agencies transform to information acquisition,consultation services and the communication of learning.Face to a series of transformation which bring by the development of the information age,our university library's reading space come up with lots of incompatibility phenomenon.How to provide readers a multiple and opened space for study and reading in architecture design stage which is a problem deserves to think deeply.Therefore,aims at the reading space's design study of university library under the information age background have important significance.This paper,which is based on the historical background as above,select part of representative university library in our country to carry on a study on their reading space.From the function layout,spatial form and the used crowd feedback to analyze,which found out our university library can't completely meet the demand of both the readers and the management at present,through analysis we concluded that the design demand need compositionality,opened,flexibility and digital,the design principle that need integral,variety,humanization and opened,proposed that the reading space's vertical and horizontal layout model of university library in information age.After the analysis which come up with the basic model of design demand,design principle and design form.This paper combined the demand of the construction party,the plan of campus,investment cost,surrounding environment etc.aspects,put the university library reading space design theory into the practical engineering projects.From the professional side to analyzes the design method of the university library in the information age,and attached to the reality,to study and discuss the method of reading space in information age.
