With the appearance of energy crisis and ecological environment deterioration as global environmental problems,people begin to reflect on the abuse of natural resources and modern technology,meanwhile green buildings under guidence of concept of sustainable development becomes focused hot spot.Lingnan garden is the specific garden formed under hot and humid climate,and adjust the climate by architectural layout design and landscape configuration,thus to explore the correlation of traditional gardening ideas and the regional climate of Lingnan garden helps to make further advantage of the regional value of Lingnan garden.This paper takes Dongguan keyuan as a sample of Lingnan garden for research.The study combine with historical documents research and principle analysis,and then take microclimate research methods such as the field measurement and computer simulation of keyuan to get the climate data for thenext step.Then the research take Standard Effective Temperature SET* as the evaluation standard of the Thermal Comfort,to discuss the influence and mechanism of the garden layout design and climate design strategy on the thermal environment.Firstly the study make a point(Chapter2)through documents research and principle analysis that the layout feature of Dongguan keyuan's cluster of verticle pavilion related to the special hot and humid climate in Lingnan district.Then the research take field measurement in keyuan on a typical summer day to get climate data,through data analysis it gets the point that these verticle pavilion space have better thermal comfort than outside in summer.Thirdly,based on the first point in previous work,the case choose Fluent software to do the wind environment simulation of keyuan(Chapter3),to discovery the wind environment in verticle pavilion,pavilion-patio complex and different levels.While Envi-met could describe the problem of garden form more accurately,and could use thermal comfort standard in combination,the next step is to choose Envi-met software(Chapter4.Chapter5)to do thermal environment simulation of keyuan in different condition of seasons and day and night.Then take the data analysis to find influence factors and the changing rules of thermal environment with change of time and hight.Finally,the study get conclusion of climate adaptation strategy of keyuan garden(Chapter6)combing analysis of thermal confort of verticle pavilion and the aesthetics factors during the construction of keyuan garden.
