Styling Research And Design Of Special Vehicles

Special vehicles are vehicles with special equipment and special features,which are widely used in various fields of national economy,making great significance to China's economic development.Styling research and design of special vehicles are more and more important to meet the growing market demand for aesthetic,to achieve special functions of special vehicles,to increase premium capacity and to enhance the brand image.Styling design of special vehicles in China is still in its infancy and the related research and design cannot fully meet the growing demand for aesthetic,but also in lack of research and design methods.In this paper,investigation was conducted on the basic situation of the concept,purpose,function and classification of special vehicles,key research was conducted especially on the styling of special vehicles,styling features and limitations were summarized of special vehicles.Special vehicles are designed not only to meet the special limit of processing technology,special features,layout,etc.,but also to reflect the unique styling features of special vehicles,such as luxury,dynamic,intelligent,mysterious,mighty and so on;by referring to research and styling design methods of civilian vehicles,research and styling design methods of the special vehicles were improved;on this basis,the design practices of some special vehicles were established,to meet the specific design requirements.In this paper,in addition to rampant contrast,longitudinal comparison,analogy,coordinate analysis,the quantitative analysis method was applied on research on styling of special vehicles,in which way styling features were shown by the means of quantify,digital and mathematical chart.Not only due to more functional and rational characteristics of special vehicles styling,but also due to the widespread use of digital design techniques,the precision of styling conclusions can be increased by quantitative analysis method used in the research of special vehicles styling,and the design process,especially the digital design stage was better guided.The quantitative analysis method of styling is a good complement to traditional analysis method.All research work in this paper were based on real special vehicle design practical projects,styling quantitative analysis method of special vehicles was used to guide thedesign process accurately,practice and test on design methods of special vehicles based on civilian vehicles were conducted in the design process.Based on the design practice,the impact of Internet on special vehicles styling research and design was discussed,providing a reference for the future development of styling research and design methods of special vehicles.
