Research And Application Of Preventive Maintenance Technology For Asphalt Pavement Of Highway In Shangqiu City

Bearing the wear and impact of the wheel and the erosion of natural forces such as storm,flood,sand,snow,sun,ice and so on,highway service performance will be gradually lower when road is open to traffic.It's necessary to take maintenance and repair measures under continuous improvement.Repairing the damaged part of road timely is crucial,otherwise it will lead to increase in repair projects investment,reduction in service life and economic losses to nations and peoples,and even threaten the lives of road users.The traditional road maintenance is carried out when the road surface damage is serious,even the road structure has also been destroyed.Timely discovering the early micro-disease of pavement before the occurrence of serious disease through the regular detection of road conditions,and taking proper disposal measures to maintain great pavement performance and service level is the feature of Pre-maintenance technology.Compared with the traditional maintenance technology,pre-maintenance hold significant advantages in economic and social efficiency by transforming maintenance passivity into the initiative.Through the analysis of the disease of the S203 asphalt pavement,the technical evaluation of the road condition and the research of different preventive maintenance techniques,Pre-maintenance technology such as crack-seal and micro-surfacing are applied into the maintenance project of S203 to achieve the expected maintenance effect.The Engineering application shows that Pre-maintenance effectively inhibited the development of pavement diseases,played a timely role in protecting the pavement structure to improve the road performance,and reduced the road life cycle costs bringing significant economic and social efficiency.The acceptance inspection of the project further verified the feasibility,advancement and importance of Pre-maintenance applied in the highway maintenance and management.
