Environmental pollution and oil shortage are the two major problems in China's auto industry.The development of new energy vehicles is an effective way to solve the above problems.At present,there are still some problems in electric vehicles,such as low mileage,high cost and inconvenient charging,and methanol fuel as an alternative energy source has the advantages of simple technology,abundant raw materials,good economy,less pollution and so on.The main raw material for the production of methanol is coal,and the large-scale promotion of methanol fuel vehicles can effectively promote the development of clean coal industry,which is of great significance to the economic development of Shanxi,Shaanxi,Inner Mongolia and other coal resources province.The existing research of domestic high proportion methanol vehicle is to add a set of methanol fuel supply system to gasoline vehicles,and then carry out a variety of short-term tests.There are some problems in these tests.Firstly,the test cars are not specifically for the methanol fuel properties;Secondly,the number of test vehicles is small and the test mileage is short;Finally,the road test condition is simple and does not accord with the actual operation of the vehicle.This paper relied on the Ministry of industry in Shaanxi province methanol automobile pilot project,using 140 methanol fuel vehicles produced by Geely to carry out pilot operating test in Xi'an,Baoji and Hanzhoung for a period of 2 years,analyzed the economic performance,environmental protection,reliability and other performance of methanol fuel vehicles.In order to study the economic performance of the methanol fuel vehicle,the fuel consumption test and the long-term fuel consumption test were carried out.The test results showed that the average replacement ratio of methanol to gasoline is 1.77,the equal value of oil saving rate is 15.6%,according to the gasoline price of 6.4$/L,M100 price of 2.5$/L,methanol fuel vehicle per hundred kilometers to save 15.2$.In order to study the environmental protection of the methanol fuel vehicle,the conventional pollutants emission test(steady state method),the emission of unconventional pollutants(formaldehyde)and the methanol concentration in the air of the filling station were studied.The results showed that the methanol fuel vehicle HC decreased by 26%,CO decreased by 16.9%,NO_x increased by 29.3%,which is higher than the formaldehyde emissions from gasoline vehicles,but still at the same level,and the methanol concentration in the air of the filling machine was the highest,and the maximum value was 0.433 mg/m~3.In order to study the reliability of the methanol fuel vehicle,the initial shift speed test,the direct acceleration test,the minimum steady speed test and the statistical study of the methanol fuel vehicle operation failure were carried out.The results showed that the dynamic performance of the methanol fuel vehicle is similar to that of gasoline,and the acceleration performance and the minimum steady speed were not changed with the increase of the mileage,the number of faults in methanol fueled vehicles during the pilot run of synthetic vehicle feasibility study PP100 was 163,which was slightly lower than the base car statistics(PP100 177)and with the same level of gasoline vehicle reliability.In this paper,the research on the economy,environmental protection and reliability of methanol fuel vehicle is helpful to improve the technology of methanol fuel vehicle and to provide the basis for the development of methanol fuel vehicles.
