The Experimental Investigation On Methanol Vehicle Pilot Of Shaanxi Province

The rapid development of China’s economic and social makes the Car Parc increased withyears, it also brought serious oil resources shortage and environmental pollution caused byautomobile exhaust. Confronted the current situation of China’s energy resources "rich coal,lack of oil, less gas", it provides the development direction for the new clean energy instead ofoil by the rich coal resources and the policy of coal industry transformation and upgrading.It’sthe realistic choice to solve the problem that shortage oil resources in our country by cleanconversion of coal and vigorously development of the methanol fuel based on coal. Ministryof Industry and Information Technology decided to carry out the pilot project of highproportion of methanol gasoline vehicle in Shaanxi province for evaluating the methanol fuelvehicle scientifically and comprehensive and gaining experience of methanol fuel vehiclerunning. In this paper, as a part of pilot project of the methanol fuel vehicle, the main contentsas follows:First, with the combination of practical situation of Shaanxi province, the paper analyzedthe advantages of the shaanxi province to carry out the pilot project of high proportion ofmethanol gasoline vehicle from different angles, it included application experience ofmethanol fuel vehicle, the basic conditions of methanol fuel, the industrial base of methanolvehicle, supportive polices and socioeconomic benefits.Second, combined with the advantages of Shaanxi province, the paper makes the pilotplan. The scheme has been clear about the pilot run vehicle type and operationmode,operation areas. The management system to organize and coordinate the pilot work hasbeen established. The fueling system of methanol vehicle has been established and the fuelsupply companies and the fuel filling station has been clear and the health care system hasbeen established. The scheme of technical data collection has been completed, these datainclude test data of vehicle performance, emission test data and fuel test data etal. Becausethere are a lot of data to collect, so we established the database by the Access to collect andmanage those data. This provided the data base for evaluating the methanol fuel vehiclescientifically and comprehensive.According to the technical data collection requirements of the pilot scheme, the papermade the scheme of the technical data test and processing of pilot vehicle. Test items aremainly acceleration performance tests, fuel consumption tests, emission tests and lubricatingoil performance tests etal. Test method and test equipment has been clear by comparative analysis. Data processing scheme has been made. Methanol vehicle has been evaluatedscientifically and comprehensive by the relation curve of performance index and vehicle milestraveled.Last, in order to evaluate the influence of methanol gasoline on lubricating oil of theengine, road test has been carried out in two methanol vehicle.The test of replaced lubricatingoil has been carried out and test item included viscosity, acidity and moisture. According tothe test result, the influence of methanol gasoline on lubricating oil has been evaluated.
