With the development of urbanization in China,the urban transport problems have become increasingly serious.An effective way to solve the problem is to develop public traffic.Under limited road and traffic resource situation,transit priority signal is one of the most efficient traffic control methods,could reduce the delay time of bus effectively at the intersection and improve the efficiency of the bus operation.Based on the characteristics of signal control and bus priority at urban road intersection,this paper adopts the two strategies of green extension and red truncation,and uses the Colored Petri Nets(CPN)to model and analyze the transit priority signal control.The main contents are as follows:1.The thesis gave an introduction of the basic theory of transit priority signal control through analyzing the current research results of bus priority control at home and abroad,Aiming at the phase characteristics of traffic lights at urban traffic intersections,the signal control CPN models of four phase and two phase are established by hierarchically modeling the signal control of intersection in urban road.2.A transit priority signal control method based on CPN is proposed to overcome the large delay of bus at the intersection while the road and traffic signal resource can not meet the priority of bus.In order to guarantee the priority of the bus at the intersection,the transit priority signal control models based on CPN of four-phase and two-phase are established by adopting the two strategies of green extension and red truncation.3.In order to guarantee the reliability and correctness of the transit priority signal control model based on CPN,the states can be simulated through the construction algorithm of state space,and the state spaces are obtained.The important properties of CPN models are verified by the analysis of state spaces,which shows that these models have good performance in solving the problem of transit signal priority control and realizing the priority in urban roads,and can achieve the purpose of bus priority.
