New challenge is raised in the field of project designing management,as large-scale construction projects are becoming more and more complex and integrated.The analysis and improvement in designing process efficiency will make a great contribution to the target of the whole project.The paper studies in designing process efficiency in different project delivery systems.The paper starts by a brief summary of basic concepts and work contents in the field of project designing management,the designing process of DB mode was studied after a comparative analysis between DB and DBB designing management.During the study,emphasis is mostly on the processes where designing input/output information happens between designer and other participants in the project.The main process and sub processes of normal DB projects are carried out and modelled by CPN Tools in the form of colored stochastic petri nets.Advantages and disadvantages of this modelling method are also summarizedUsing an actual project as model example,the model mentioned previously is used to calculate the efficiency of the example process.By using CPN Tools,the state space and other attributes of the example are given,then the example process is mapping to a continuous Markov chain,data from research during this paper are inputted into the model,performance parameters are calculated and analysed,the busy"places" and "transitions" are found,and their causes are analysed and interpreted,improvement methods of the process are also given.Then in this paper,the model is modified into a form that propitious to the designing process of DBB mode,after the same calculation of new parameters of DBB,the two results of DBB and DB mode are compared and analysed,advantages of designing process in each mode are also compared,and as a conclusion,this paper shows a conclusion that the design process efficiency in project practice can be improved by choosing the right project delivery system.
