The Revelation And Reflection Of Tainan Old House

In recent years,the published urban renewal policy makes Taiwan filled with the "Get rid of the old to make way for the new" ethos.The development of urban modernization and urbanization erode the city's history and culture.The old houses in the city are facing the fate of being abandoned and demolished because they are unable to meet today's life requirements.But young entrepreneurs and artists treat it as jade because of the unique space,cheap rent and other reasons.Through their creativity and ingenuity,the abandoned old house transformed into a historical flavor of popular shops,and the value of the old house also began to excavated.In order to arouse the public's care for the old house further,the Heritage Conservation and Cultural Foundation Organization in Tainan,launched “Laowuxinli” movement in 2008.They selected the best case by collecting,reviewing and voting,established partnership with them,and then recommended them to the general public as a leisure,sightseeing place.Under the impetus by the Heritage Conservation and Cultural Foundation Organization,the enthusiasm of the public to get the most play.While the design level and management strategy are improved,some of the negative effects have sparked public controversy.This paper hopes to sort out the background and development process of the “Laowuxinli” movement,and study the case of the “Laowuxinli” movement,in order to enlighten the transformation and management of the old house,hoping to be useful for future reuse of the old house by aiming at the problems reflected in the movement to seek solutions.The first chapter study briefly explains the background and the scope of the research.The second chapter sort the historical background,urban background,social background,cultural background and related theories of the “Laowuxinli” movement.The third chapter is review of the entire development process of the ”Laowuxinli” movement.The fourth chapter describes re-use hardware part of the repair and reconstruction methods of the old house.The fifth chapter describes re-use software part of the repair and reconstruction methods of the old house,toghther with the fourth chapter are the enlightenment of the “Laowuxinli” movement.The sixth chapter is a reflection on the“Laowuxinli” movement.The seventh chapter is a comparison and reference of the present situation of old house reuse between Taiwan and Chinese Mainland.
