Villa, a high quality housing type, is becoming the ideal choice,which implys the natural lifestyle and the living spiritual.Actually, villa now is fading away form the urban life because of Chinese national conditions and policies.So the Sky House located in the urban center comes into the citizen’s views who desire to have a villa without leaving the city.The reason of the "Sky House" is being taken seriously is that it shows us the a similar living space and high quality lifestyle as the villa."Sky House" as a new type of the city house is just rising in the domestic market.But there is few success stories as the research have not gone long and the theory which can guide the practice is lacking.Most developers is indulging in several success stories without developing,leading the products to just literally form.The author is going to systematically study the "Sky House" after visiting some real estate companies, institutes of architectural design and collecting a large number of the cases.The enter point of the essay is the analgy between the "Sky House" and the traditional villa.Then goes to the reason and the possibility of rising of the "Sky House" in domestic market.Using methods of the sociology, residential behaviour, and architectural psychology to analyse the marketing positioning and the design points of the "Sky House".At the same time,from the unit combination both in vertical and horizontal and the space form inside to generalize the type of the "Sky House" in the market.The most important part is the ways of design in the locating,internal function of the plane,the traffic organization, the landscape and the facade.At last,the author bodly put forward the outlook of the "Sky House",on the basis of the Chinese national conditions.
