Currently,a number of problems of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction exist in design-process-construction parts in the following ways.Each single part of buildings is designed independently and separately,design level of system integration is low,the low precision of building parts leads to re-production of parts,it's difficult to manage with a large quantity of parts during construction phase.It's mentioned in ?Outline of Development of Informationization of Construction Industry from 2016 to 2020 ?that the application of information technology shall be strengthened in fabricated buildings,while BIM-based design,production,transportation,assembly and full-life management of construction engineering shall be pushed forward to p romote industrial construction.Therefore,it is pretty meaningful to explore the application method and process of BIM in light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction basing on the characteristics of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction with the purpose to realize the goal of improving management level of fabricated buildings with lightweight steel construction by BIM technologies.Through analysis of currently existing problems of each phase of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction and that of the value of the application of BIM,this paper has put forwarded modeling standards and modeling processes which fit with lightweight steel structure prefabricated construction,built up coding system and information entry standard of parts model.Through the unification of modeling standards and modeling processes of building parts models,this paper sets up the library of building parts models,and improves the application level of BIM in each phase of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction.Basing on the application demand of BIM in each phase of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction this paper has put forward application point and realization means of BIM of each phase.With the visualization and parameterization and other characteristics of BIM models,the integration level of building parts design and integration degree of building parts can be improved.Through the 4D simulation of BIM models and construction simulation,the construction programs can be optimized and the construction and installation efficiency can be increased.With combination between theory and practice,taking actual engineering as examples,this paper uses BIM technologies to design on construction process and application programs of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction.After analysis of case study,it's shown that the establishment of parts models basing on BIM-relative software is achievable,while it is with great advantage and profit to apply BIM on each phase in construction of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction by using a series of BIM software.The result of the study will help to promote the integration design level in design phase,the higher precision in processing phase and the management level in construction phase of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction.This paper has put forward suggestions of BIM application which fits with light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction,provided a certain degree of guidance and reference for developing BIM application in light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction,with wishes to promote a rapid development of light-weight steel structure prefabricated construction by using the advantages of BIM.
