The tensile testing machine is a kind of important equipment,which could test the related mechanical properties of material and plays a very important role in material experiment.The materials,parts,components and so on produced from industry all need to pass through tensile test to determine their mechanical characteristics.With the development of technology,although the traditional tensile testing machine has a big development in functionality and performance,it cannot meet the special test requirements of stretching non-ferrous metal with computed tomography(CT)scan under the environment of the industrial CT at the same time.So developing a dedicated tensile test device is particularly important.This paper puts forward and designs a kind of micro tensile test device.On the basis of in-depth research of the traditional tensile test device,the whole systematic plan was designed.In order to meet the special requirement of tensile test under the condition of industrial CT,the mechanical structure of the device was designed Which used polycarbonate plastic as the support component,and the finite element analysis was carried out on the key support components,which could analyze the situation of force and deformation of support under the maximum load.According to the requirements of design,the hardware including displacement sensor,tension sensor,the sensor amplifier module and a servo motor were selected.Traditional PID and fuzzy PID algorithm were studied,and the test and control software were programmed that adopts the MODBUS communication protocol,the speed control mode,position control mode and force control mode of drawing process were achieved.Finally,in order to verify the performance of the micro tensile testing machine,the tensile testing for materials was performed.The results show that the design of the micro tensile testing machine could meet the special test requirements of stretching non-ferrous metal with computed tomography(CT)scan under the environment of the industrial CT at the same time.Meanwhile,the system has a variety of test mode and high control precision,it can meet the special test requirements of small specimens.
