Research On The Elderly Nursing Robot Design Based On Design Affairology

According to the statistical report about national economic and social development by the National Bureau of Statistics of the People’s Republic of China,the aging effect in Chinese population if very severe.The number and development speed of Chinese aging population ranked the first around the world.China will step into the super aging society in the next ten years and the elders’ nursing will become a huge difficult problem.The emerging of nursing robots becomes a promising solution for this challenge.Due to the severity of current aging effect,senior-care is becoming a big challenge for the society.The market strong demand and the development of technology have brought potential opportunities for nursing robot industry.On the other side,nursing robot products still facing issues such as low affinity,not well designed appearance,and the fact that product developers focusing too much on the product itself instead of the nursing ability.Moreover,using nursing robot for nursing purpose also posed the question of social ethics.All these factors are pushing the nursing robot to be improved.Using design affairology to reconstruct the nursing affair analysis and guide the product design can effectively balance the contradiction between nursing robot and the users.Affairology is a methodology for designing.Using affairology to summarize and analyze is an easier approach to find the core value of a product and lead to design procedures.This article uses the principle of affairology to explore the industrial design of senior nursing robot.Briefly,the article will present: a.the senior nursing procedure under the aging Chinese population and the role of nursing robot in this process,which establishes the research background.b.How to sue affairology to summarize and analyze nursing procedures,especially conducting research about the meaning and content of nursing and the necessity of establishing a new nursing mode is defined.c.develop personalized research for targeted user,including setting up user portrait,and abstract users’ truly demand and innovatively designed the nursing robot’s appearance and interactive mode.d.Discuss the interactive mode between the user and the nursing robot and provide reference for design practices.e.Based on design practices,test the methodology proposed from affairology,and expand affairology theory.In this paper,from the nature of the nursing affair,the relationship between elderly and the scene of the nursing affair is deeply analyzed.The research grasp the core needs of the user,and using design practice solved the pain point.All of these efforts can better optimize seniors’ nursing experience and provide new solution of aging effect.
