Nowadays,the high casualty rate of the pedestrians,such as traffic accidents,promote the pedestrian protection performance of the automobile.The research and legislation of vehicle pedestrian protection have been carried out in each country and region.Either the implementation of pedestrian protection regulations or the implement the safety evaluation test which analysis or windshield,all need to develop the corresponding test equipment.Although the car windshield impact performance research has very important theoretical and practical significance in the field of design of vehicle passive safety,however,due to the characteristics of automobile front glass is brittle failure,even if the CAE technology is widely used in automobile passive safety design field today,is still not a widely recognized the numerical simulation analysis method of windshield impact damage performance.Therefore,this paper mainly studies two aspects: one is the design of the pedestrian head module launch device;the otheris about the impact damage simulation of automotive front windshield.In the study of experimental device design: Based on the investigation of national automobile pedestrian safety regulations,and the standards of Euro-NCAP and J-NCAP of pedestrian head impact test module design a test apparatus.The design of the device draws experiences from the existing product design home and abroad,meanwhile considering the factors such as the applicable occasion and manufacturing cost.Design method using computer aided design software,the test device is structural designed,assembled and interference checked,designing and calculating process are strictly comply with the relevant provisions of mechanical design.Thought the design,checking the strength of the important mechanical components of the device necessarily;The static analysis is carried out on the important complex and irregular components by the finite element analysis software LS-DYNA;At the same time,a the dynamic simulation was established by AMESim software of the physical model about the whole device was carried out to test the technical index of the device.TH results show that the components of the test device of pedestrian head module and car windshield impact this design can satisfied the design conditions,technical specifications of the device can satisfied the current automobile protection regulations of pedestrian head impact test requirements.The device has the advantages of compact structure,low cost,convenient maintenance and so on.In the field of damaging simulation of front windshield: based on the previous experimental study on front of laminated glass material and the material model,the three elements windshield finite element model is proposed,and the finite element simulation analysis is launched,the finite element model is validated,to provides a reasonable choice for studing on the front the performance and characteristics of glass mechanics,for looking forward to helping the automobile front windshield of the pedestrian protection and safety.This is the first time,in the field of damaging simulation of front windshield: based on the previous experimental study on front of laminated glass material and the material model,the three elements windshield finite element model is proposed,and the finite element simulation analysis is launched,the finite element model is validated,to provides a reasonable choice for studing on the front the performance and characteristics of glass mechanics,for looking forward to helping the automobile front windshield of the pedestrian protection and safety.
