The old industrial district is the carrier of historical culture and the memory of time characteristics, What's more, it's the place which future urban development has the potential value of life. As the important part of this city industry culture,they testimony a train of thought of urban industrial development.However, nowdays the development of the city gradually can not hold the old industrial district who has made huge contribution. With urban industrial restructuring, the old industrial district of many cities are faced with the firm relocation and rebuild factory buildings in China.So it is a research subject which beyond time and space that about how to reconcile the relationship of the urban renewal and old industrial areas, adapted to the modern development of the city, diged up its value of industrial heritage deeply to expole the more effective strategy of Nanjing old industrial district in the new period of social and economic change.First of all, this article focuses on the relative terms about identification section,like old industrial area,the mode of reconstruct and renew.And on this basis,put forward its influence on the city's comprehensive development.Next,based on research on the spot and consulting new data about the most representative case of the Nanjing old industrial districtin recent years.
