Old Industrial District Landscape Updating Research Under The Background Of Industrial Transformation

In 2002, under the guidance of Strategic decision made by two levels of government-Liaoning province and Shenyang municipality in the 16th national congress of the communist party of China "supporting the northeast old industrial base to speed up the adjustment of the strategy", the revitalization of Shenyang Tiexi has been put on the prominent position, and the significant decision of "move the east and transform the west east" has been made. Thus Tiexi old industrial district started an all-round way transformation from the industry to modern service industry.During the decade, with relying on space and money gained from moving of Northern industrial district, Tiexi district has changed the original environmental conditions -declining urban economic, dilapidated facilities and disordered public security environment. Urban physical environment and the residents'mental state have been promoted greatly. While, too much emphasis on economic-construction-centered and the rapid and intense upgrading has brought new problems to the city on one hand, industrial heritage's large demolition has weakened industrial culture atmosphere and made new neighborhood relationship indifferent. on the other hand, modern business services has increased population of urban district and improved people's environmental needs.Facing the new background of Tiexi district under the industrial transformation, this thesis firstly extracts excellent experience of relative theories and practice from home and abroad in four levels-urban renewal-modern city landscape-industrial city landscape upgrading-northeast old industrial areas, discusses and compares its development, theoretical thinking, update strategy and update methods. Then, it comprehensively analyzes the current problems of Tiexi district by combining with evolution of history and city landscape of Tiexi district in outline, texture, streets and alleys, boundaries and nodes. Next, it comes up with effective landscape design ways in industrial cultural heritage, public green space system and city's external image by multidisciplinary and multiple domain upgrading design method which based on urban planning, urban sociology, landscape ecology, cultural heritage and environmental psychology. Finally, it introduces the practice of upgrading of Jianshe Road landscape in Tiexi district by adopting the theories and method mentioned above.
