Pump and fan is the most common equipment,but also consume the most power,so the energy saving of this kind of equipment is important.The most effective energy-saving mean of pump and fan is variable speed adjustment.Hydraulic mechanical speed regulating system is constituted by the adjustable hydraulic torque converter with guide vanes and planetary gear train which has a long life and reliable work with high efficiency,is a device suitable for high-power pump and fan speed adjustment.The efficiency speed characteristic curve of the torque converter is a parabola shape,torque converter has the highst efficiency near the the design point,the efficiency descends when the speed reduces from design point,it has low efficiency when meets the needs of wide range of speed adjustment for low speed stage.Using a number of hydraulic components to switch work can extend the range of high efficient transmission.This paper established the mathematical model of planetary speed regulating system with two hydraulic torque converters,researched design method and characteristics of system.First of all,this paper analyzed the influence rules of fixed gear structure parameter α1 and rotary gear structure parameter α2 for the operating efficiency of the hydraulic planetary speed regulating system,gave the principle of selecting and reasonable value range of planetary gear structure parameters according to the different load types.Secondly,this paper worked at the matching calculation and analysis of planetary speed regulating system with two hydraulic torque converters,gave overall transmission performance of system.Then consulted working characteristics of two hydraulic torque converters and planetary gear structure parameters and determined the switch point of two hydraulic torque converters based on different load types,realized the wide range of high efficient transmission for different load types.Finally,this paper analyzed the start-up characteristic of planetary speed regulating system with two hydraulic couplers,designed hydraulic coupler to meet the requirements of the start-up stage,calculated the characteristic of hydraulic coupler by CFD numerical simulation method.Researched the influence of pump wheel speed and filling rate condition for hydraulic coupler characteristic,got the output work characteristic of hydraulic coupler and analyzed the start-up process of system.
