With the development of power system,the scope of distribution network enlarged increasingly,which increase the difficulty of distribution network setting calculation and put forward higher requirement to the setting calculation software.Therefore,it is significant to develop a set of high accuracy,versatility,high extensibility and convenient distribution network relay protection setting system in order to reduce the burden of setting calculation personnel.The function of each module of the system is expounded based on the requirement analysis of the system,and the fault calculation module and setting calculation module are analyzed in detail.The unified modeling language(UML)is used to model the setting system.Aiming at limitations of conventional fault calculation methods,determined using canonical algorithm for fault calculation,the core of the algorithm is mainly analyzed and improved.On this basis,the object oriented model of fault module is mainly designed,then determine the properties and methods of the object model.The fault calculation program is programmed using the C++ language.Verify the correctness of the program by a practical system.According to the characteristics of the distribution network,the idea of subarea is used to calculate the protection setting in this paper.The design of setting calculation module is completed by using Object-oriented technology.Aiming at the issue of the protection in switching station ultra incoming lines and feeders,the paper made an optimization and added the setting method to the setting calculation module,and the setting calculation module is programmed.Finally,the design of the protection setting system is verified by the actual distribution network system.The results show that the system is easy to operate,the calculation result is accurate and the system has good generality and expansibility.
