| Lime is a white powder of inorganic compounds, which water stability and freezing stability is very good and widely applicability used.Lime is simple to use and economical and now is widely used in lime-treated loess. In this paper, the physical and chemical properties of loess in Lanzhou area are studied.Determination of moisture content, compaction test, drop cone experiment, disintegration test and water chemical properties are done in the lime-treated loess which cure different days.Water changes, compaction characteristics, stiffness characteristics, disintegration property and chemical properties of water are analyzed in the loess which is added different content lime curing different days in this paper.(1)Water in the loess or loess and lime mixture in the process of moisture distribution, little change. In the curing stage and the mixing stage, the amount of water loss of the loess curing 7 days was increased and the proportion of water loss increased with the increase of lime content. The compaction stage the loss of water is at the optimum moisture content. The change of water content in each stage can be explained by the change of permeability and porosity ratio.(2)The optimal water content of loess increases slowly with the increase of lime content and curing time, and the maximum dry density decreases with the increase of lime content and curing time. The porosity increases rapidly with the increase of lime content, and the increase amplitude is not obvious after 5%.(3)The plastic limit, liquid limit and plasticity index of loess increased with the increase of lime content. With the increase of curing time, the plastic limit and liquid limit increased slightly, but the plasticity index decreased.(4)Firstly the disintegration time of loess decreases and then decreases with the increase of lime added, but when the lime content is more than 5%,it increases lightly. The void ratio is inversely proportional to the disintegration time, and the dry density is proportional to the disintegration time.(5)The chemical properties of water,p H and EC,in the loess are highly consistent, and increase with the increase of lime added, but decrease with the increase of curing time... |
