In recent years, with the rapid development of port engineering in China, many large port projects need to be built on saturated clay or silty soft soil foundation, these soft soil foundation has a high water content, high compressibility, low permeability and Weak strength and so on, need to be pre-reinforced in order to make the foundation bearing capacity to meet the requirements of the upper structure.Based on the practice of soft foundation treatment of Hulushan Bay south breakwater on Changxing Island of Dalian, this paper introduces the application of plastic drainage board preloading technology in soft foundation treatment of harbor engineering from the following aspects:(1) Summary and discussion of the software processing technology of water transportation engineering, the basic principle of the preloading method is briefly introduced,and the research status of vertical drainage body at home and abroad is discussed in detail.(2) In combination with the actual situation of the project, its soft foundation treatment and reinforcement scheme is compared, and finally the use of plastic drainage plate preloading method, put forward design ideas, and then a brief introduction of the construction process.(3) According to the actual situation of engineering, field monitoring and preloading construction of plastic drainage plate in detail.According to the practice of on-site monitoring during the construction period, the soft soil foundation of the harbor project is treated by the preloading of the plastic drainage board,which greatly improves the drainage consolidation process of the weak soil layer. The upper load and the plastic drainage board act together, the dissipation of the pore water pressure in the soil layer is accelerated, and the bearing capacity of the soft soil foundation is improved,and the expected effect of the design is achieved.With the rapid development of China’s coastal areas, the port of port and waterway engineering and ancillary facilities for the construction of large-scale development, plastic drainage plate processing technology of soft soil foundation does not generate vibration and noise pollution, without any industrial emissions, and not to the surrounding water and Lu Yuhuan environment produced the advantages of adverse effects in this year after the port &waterway engineering soft foundation processing applications will have broad application prospects.
