| Connected multi-tower high-rise buildings can meet multiple function requirements and aesthetic demands.More and more attention and application has been drawn on such building structures.Meanwhile, these architectures are of complicated shapes and structures. In the designation of these structures, the wind loading is hard to determine.Influenced by the complicatedly surrounding buildings, the features of the fluctuating wind load is complicated, which leads to sensitive affects on the dynamic structures.Therefore,wind-resistance design is one of the keys to the designation of these buildings. This paper takes the building groups in Beijing Tongzhou Core as an example. The wind load characteristics, wind environment features and wind-induced responses on linked high-rise buildings are discussed by the means of wind tunnel testing,CFD simulation and FEA analyses. The main research subjects are listed as follows:1.Based on the wind tunnel measurements of the wind pressures on the buildings, the mean and extreme wind load are determined. The shape factor and extreme wind pressure coefficients are obtained for the determination of the mainstructures and the cladding.2.Through CFD simulation, the wind load and wind velocity around the buildings are obtained.By comparing the wind loading results obtained from the CFD simulation and wind tunnel tests, the simulation method is validated.Further, through the wind flow around the buildings, the mechanism of influence effect between buildings are explained in some extents.3.Through the simulation of wind velocity field on the pedestrian height, the wind environment is evaluated by the normalized wind velocity ratio.Furthermore, some suggestions are given for the corner and pass ways where the wind environment is not good enough.4.Based on FEA dynamic analyses, the wind-induced responses of the 6# building are obtained including the displacements, accelerations and base forces. The equivalent static wind load is estimated on the basis of the extreme responses.By comparing with the equivalent static wind loads estimated by the GB code, some key points in the windresistance design of linked high-rise buildings are discussed. |
