It is a tremendous waste of energy that the residual heat of circulating cooling water in a thermal power plant as a low-grade heat source is discharged directly into the atmosphere.Effective measures should be taken to reduce the loss of the cold source residual heat and improve the overall thermal efficiency of the cogeneration of heat and power units.With the rapid development and the gradual maturity of the heat pump technology,such application can convert the low-grade heat of circulating cooling water to the high-grade heat,and improve the efficiency and the heating capacity of the unit.The application of the absorption heat pump in the small and medium scale units has been relatively common,but that in the 300 MW large-scale unit have enjoy this feature on the same scale.Taking the 2×300MW generator unit of Jinan Huangtai Power Plant as an example,this paper analyzes the energy consumption of the existing system to determine the energy loss of the power plant and analyze the energy saving potential of the recovery of cooling water residual heat.By comparing various technical measures of the residual heat of circulating water recycle solution for the power plant,it is determined that the use of absorption heat pump for heating is the best technical measure to recycle the residual heat of circulating water in the power plant.With the analytic result of the thermal network of Huangtai Power Plant,it is determined that the transformation route which regards the circulating cooling water as the low temperature heat source,the five stage steam extraction of turbine as the driving steam source,and employs the heat pump unit to improve the temperature of heat pipe network.Furthermore,it carries out the targeted optimization and proposes the transformation proposal for the heat pump steam system and its supporting hydrophobic system,the systems of heat pipe network and the circulating cooling water in the factory.What's more,helpful exploration for the application of the absorption heat pump in the large scale unit also carried out to serve the same purpose.By selecting the operating condition mean value of the heating season,taking the quantity of power generation and heat supply as the standards,the thermal economic indexes of the generator set with heat pump operation and that without heat pump operation are analyzed.In the case of the same amount of heat supply and power generation,the parameters of thermal efficiency,coal consumption for heating and power generation and total coal consumption are compared,and the economic efficiency of using the heat pump unit enjoyed through study.Finally,the economic efficiency of the transformation proposal is evaluated by the annual cost method and the dynamic investment payback period method.The feasibility of the transformation project of the absorption heat pump recycling the residual heat of circulating cooling water is determined.The project will achieve profitability from the beginning of putting into operation to the fifth year.The plant thermal efficiency can be increased from 64.837% to 68.99% in the existing heating area unchanged,the annual savings of 23940 tons of standard coal,62728 tons of carbon dioxide emissions,203.5 tons of sulfur dioxide,177.1 tons of nitrogen oxides,359.1 tons of dust,6224.4 tons of ash.Therefore,the project is feasible and it has various benefits in the aspects of economy,environment and society.
