| In recent years,the development of China’s automobile industry is very rapid,and with the continuous progress of the technology,the instrument assembly industry related to automobile also has a very good opportunity for development.However,while the current production and assembly business is still widely used traditional manual or semi-manual mode when perform instrument pointers press mounting and calibration,resulting in product quality is uneven,the overall pass rate is not high.Therefore,it is so necessary to develop a vehicle combination meter auto press mounting and calibration system with a high degree of automation,high precision,affordable and easy to operate.Firstly,this paper describes much of theoretical knowledge which is often used in the process of the car instrument press mounting and calibration.It focuses on the composition,application,technical requirements for the car instrument press mounting system,and the major factor of the instrument press mounting effect.Meanwhile,the instrument calibration process,as well as the characteristics and shortcomings of the current calibration technique were compared.For the instrument press mounting system,based on the in-depth analysis of overall function and structure of the system,it will be divided into the press mounting control subsystem and machine operation subsystem.The hardware design and software flow of each functional module in the two subsystems are introduced details,and the design of communication between the two subsystems are briefly discussed.For the instrument calibration system.First,the instrument pointer extraction and scale calculation based on the image processing technology is focused on.On the computer platform,the graying,binarization,skeleton extraction,Hough transforms and other algorithms are used to rapidly extract the position of the pointer and to accurately identify the meter scale.Second,we pay much attention to the instrument calibration’s communication technology,each layer of the CAN bus is effectively designed,and the relevant communication protocol based on CAN bus is formulated.Finally,according to the relevant national standards,some tests are performed to evaluate the automobile instrument cluster pointer auto press mounting and calibration system designed in this paper.The results show that the designed system has high detection accuracy,pointer pressing is good,pointer calibration is rapid and accurate,the entire system is easy to operate,has a high degree of automation,basically meet the design specifications and process requirements. |
