Investigation And Research Of Old Industrial Building’s Renovation In Guang Zhou

Since the beginning of the 1990 s,due to the adjustment of urban planning and the upgrading of industrial structure,the renovation of old industrial buildings has become popular,and it has become a new type of design in big cities of our country.Old industrial buildings become popular for its unique core value,reborn from the renovation.Recent years,theoretical research and practice on renovation of old industrial building are increasing,but quite part of them emphasizing on the realization of“re-use”,trying to sum up the methods of function-converse,space-reuse,architectural image-design,or exploring the transform to other types of building,few of them thinking about the reborn and continuation of old industrial building’s core value.This paper try to focus on the purpose and significance of old industrial building’s renovation,research old industrial building in GuangZhou district,emphasize that the original intention and main point of renovation is to discover and find the core value of old industrial building,achieve value-reborn.Try to find out the problems and contradictions in the process of renovation through researching,interviewing and setting up questionnaires.While making reflection and examination from the result.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is to explain and limit the title from the research background and purpose,related concept and research scope,related theory and research summary,research method and frame work.The second chapter is to sort out the basic situation of old industrial building in GuangZhou,including historical development,distribution and characteristic.The third chapter is to investigate and research the current situation of renovation in GuangZhou.Investigate 13 actual cases to summarize the basic models,main methods,existing problems and contradictions of renovation.The fourth chapter is to analyze the typical cases,select Redtory and TIT Park to make questionnaires and in-depth interviews,sum up problems.The fifth chapter is to refine and sublimate the previous text,to make reflection and recommendation of the renovation from the view of value-reborn.Discuss the responsibility of government、developer、architect in the process of renovation.Make research and reflection about the current evaluation system of old industrial building.
