Integrated Electrical Actuator(IEA)to replace the traditional hydraulic actuating system is one of the key features of Power-By-Wire(PBW)in the aerospace and weapon field.Because of its simple structure,small size,light weight and high efficiency,the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)has become a key component of reliable operation of IEA system.However,the failure on body of traditional PMSM will lead to abnormal operation of the system.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the redundant PMSM with high performance,high reliability and fault tolerance.According to the development status and analysis of the existing redundant PMSM,in order to overcome the defect such as low efficiency,large torque ripple,and thermal isolation between redundancy and strong electromagnetic coupling between redundancy,a new type of redundant iron coreless PMSM is proposed.This motor has the following advantages:first,it has no iron core and cog,so there is no torque ripple caused by the core and the cog,and there is also no iron loss,which can improve the efficiency effectively.Second,completely physical isolation is achieved between the two redundancy,so the good thermal isolation is ensured;at the same time,the electromagnetic coupling between the two redundancy is reduced to some extent.The paper based on the basic principle of permanent magnet disk synchronous motor(PMDSM),and the basic electromagnetic relation of the permanent magnet disk synchronous motor with two redundancy is analyzed in detail.Take a 2*100W double redundant disc type with coreless permanent magnet synchronous motor as an example,the magnetic circuit of the motor,the main dimension,the winding way,the coil turns and other main parameter is designed.At the same time the air gap magnetic field distribution curves of different permanent magnet shapes and polar arc coefficients are analyzed by the finite element analysis(FEM)software Maxwell.In the case of ensuring that the air gap magnetic field has a good sinusoidal degree,the optimal shape and correspondence of permanent magnets are determined according to the simulation results.According to the optimized parameters,static magnetic field,back electromotive force,loss and so on of double redundant disc type coreless permanent magnet synchronous motor is simulated.The simulation results show that the design of the double redundant disc type coreless permanent magnet synchronous motor to meet the design requirements.Finally,a double redundant disc type coreless permanent magnet synchronous motor experimental prototype is developed.No-load characteristics and load characteristics of the motor are tested.The experimental results show that the double redundant disc type coreless permanent magnet synchronous motor to meet the design requirements,and achieved the desired purpose,to further verify the design of the rationality and feasibility.
