In recent years, because of the large amount of greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption, the environmental problems caused by global warming are becoming more and more serious, glaciers melting, sea level rise and ecosystem degradation and so on a series of natural disasters have a serious threat to human survival and development. The three areas of energy consumption are: construction, industry and transportation, these three areas are also the main source of greenhouse gas emissions. In the context of rapid global economic development, the energy consumption of countries are showing a rapid growth trend. The energy consumption in the construction sector is high, the ratio is significant, the long-term growth trend is obvious, and the energy saving potential is bigger and the emission reduction cost is relatively low. Therefore, reducing the energy consumption in the construction field is the key link to reduce the carbon emission.Because the level of technical equipment?climate and geographical conditions and other factors in developed and developing countries are different, the distribution of carbon emissions in various countries are different, although more energy can be used to improve people's quality of life, but in order to achieve the global economic environment Sustainable development, how to rationally allocate carbon emissions from various countries to enjoy a better quality of life at a lower level of energy consumption is a problem that many countries around the world need to study. To study the differences in energy consumption in various countries around the world,to analyze the causes and influencing factors of differences, and help the world to allocate carbon emissions rationally and provide a theoretical basis. This paper analyzes current situation of building consumption around the world, including residential buildings, commercial buildings, total building consumption and per capita building energy consumption, and collected global energy consumption of residential buildings in 120 countries from 2000 to 2014,according to the above data, the paper use Gini coefficient to analyze the difference of global building consumption. The paper also collected the data of 120 countries and grouped according to the United Nations Human Development Index(HDI)to analyze difference between groups using the Theil coefficient. The results show that the differences in energy consumption of global buildings analyzed by Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient in 2000 to 2014 are slightly fluctuating, but the overall trend is declining, and by the Theil coefficient, energy consumption in the countries with different levels of development are on the rise, while in the countries with the same level of development, the differences in energy consumption between buildings are declining. In order to further analyze the key factors influencing the difference of global building energy consumption, this paper analyzes four influencing factors, including the population, the proportion of the tertiary industry, the urbanization rate and GDP,and collects the global factors according to the analysis and screening factors 120 countries of the relevant data, the use of SPSS19.0 software,to build a multiple linear regression model: with the population and GDP growth, building energy consumption is also a certain degree of growth, and the urbanization rate and the proportion of the tertiary industry Of the rise will be to a certain extent, reduce the growth rate of building energy consumption.
