Recent years,permanent magnet magnetic transmission technology has attract more and more public attention.With the advantages of energy saving,environment protection,no-load start and overload protection,it was already applied into many fields such as petrochemical engineering,thermal power generation,oceaneering and so on.Now,permanent magnet magnetic coupler is one of permanent magnet magnetic transmission technology.Even though it can achieve transmission without mechanical contact,but it can not control speed in rotating load system.Permanent magnet eddy speed controller can solve this problem efficiently.this thesis focus on the structure design,the transmission principle,,the theoretical analysis on the air-gap magnetic field,the finite element analysis and the temperature distribution and so on.Firstly,this thesis studies on the development permanent magnet magnetic transmission,especially permanent magnet eddy transmission.Compared with other speed controller,the permanent magnet eddy speed controller has many advantages.Then introducing the structure of this device and principle of transmission,emphasizing on the choose of permanent magnet material and design of magnetic routes.After choosing material,analyzing this structure modeling so that seeing distribution of eddy and magnetic lines.Secondly,using theoretical analysis method and finite element method calculate the air-gap magnetic field strength,and compared with results so that testing the validity of two methods.The theoretical analysis method is that deducing the function of air-gap magnetic field intensity by basic electromagnetism knowledge.Then,assigning value into this function by the software Matlab to see the distribution of air-gap magnetic field strength.The finite element method it that analyzing this device in different parameter states by the Ansoft to get the distribution of air-gap magnetic field strength and torque.Compared with results to theoretical analysis method and testing the validity of two methods.Then,finding out the optimal value of of air-gap magnetic field strength and torque among the results.these parameters contain the thickness of air-gap,rotate speed,the thickness of copper,the size of permanent magnet body and so on.At last,analyzing the temperature field of permanent magnet eddy speed controller via the software of Ansys.The purpose of analysis is to look up distribution of temperature,especially the permanent magnet body.As the result of permanent magnet body has low Curie Temperature,about 150°,it will demagnetization if the temperature get higher than 150°,therefore,the transmission will be aborted.
