Transverse flux permanent magnet motor(TFPM) is different from other types of traditional radial flux motor, which realize electromagnetic decoupling of the stator alveolar. It's advantages is high power density, torque density and efficiency. The transverse flux permanent magnet motor replaces the traditional racial flux motor will not only save materials but also save energy. It's mainly applicable occasion is in ship and warship which need low speed and high torque. TFPM has widely been the concern of scholars and business. Because TFPM's structure is small, eddy current will cause high temperature rise when it's in the high-speed operation. So calculation of eddy current loss of TFPM and reduce loss is one of important thing. This article for the TFPM's research include three part:Firstly, as TFPM's magnet field is three-dimensional distribution, Ansoft Maxwell 3D magnetic field module has been used, which to simulate the motor For the stator teeth shape, size, length and the air gap of other parameters research.Secondly, the eddy current field of TFPM is calculated by Ansoft Maxwell 3D transient calculated module. The iron loss of stator and rotor and eddy current loss of permanent magnet is calculated in no-load and load situation. The different parameter of program which include stator teeth size, permanent magnet section and so on is contrasted. Then modifying the program of motor design and summarizing the discipline the eddy current loss and iron loss. Finally, temperature of three-dimensional is calculated. Assumptions and the equivalent of motor has been done. Creating the calculated model, then simplified it for reduce the computation time and computing resources. Meshing and calculating the model to analysis the heat and temperature distribution of the motor.
